DDx Differential diagnosis. A list of conditions the patient may have based on the symptoms exhibited and the results of the exam.
PMHx Past medical history
NPO Nil per os. Nothing by mouth
PRN Per re nata. As the need arises
Acute It just started recently or is a sharp, severe symptoms
Alert Able to answer questions; responsive; interactive
Morbidity The risk for being sick
Lateral Medial Out to the side Towards the middle
Ventral/Antral/Anterior The front. Ventral means "stomach"
Caudal Toward the bottom. From Latinos "tall"
