| Incarnation | core doctrine stating that in Jesus Christ, God became fully human while remaining fully divine |
| Trinity | core doctrine stating that God consists of 3 persons: God, Jesus, Holy Spirit-who are at the same time one God |
| Holy Spirit | 3rd person of trinity; an active presence in the ministry of Jesus and His followers |
| Gospel | "good news;" the story of Jesus Christ that includes His life, crucifixion, and resurrection |
| Resurrection | core doctrine that Jesus' followers first experienced Him as the risen lord |
| Grace | God's presence freely given |
| Salvation | The overcoming of sin/death and the restoration of friendship with God |
| Second Coming | core doctrine that Christ will return to the world, resurrect the dead, and Judgement Day will commence |
| Apostle's Creed | short statement that sets the foundations of central doctrines of Incarnation and the Trinity |
