| Scale | A scale is a sequence of notes in ascending or descending order. Like a musical "ladder," each note is the next consecutive step of the scale. example: Your D scale- starts on D and ends on D. |
| Down Bow (looks like the top 3 sides of a box) | Move the bow away from your body (to the right) |
| Up Bow (looks like a V) | Move the bow toward your body (to the left) |
| Key Signature | A key signature tells us what notes to play with sharps and flats throughout the entire piece. example: D Major has a sharp on F and a sharp on C. So every time you see a F or C in the song- you will play them as sharp. |
