Chemothalamectomy (Chem/o=chemical) injection of chemical substance to destroy part of the thalamus
Echoencephalography (encephal/o=brain) Ultrasound of the brain
Electroencephalography EEG (electr/o=electricity) (encephal/o= Brain) Record of the electrical activity of the brain
Nerve block Use of anesthesia to prevent sensory nerve impulses from reaching the CNS
