Dissect To divide into two equal parts
Body cavity Group of organs functioning together within one or more body systems located in one similar area of the body

Horizontal plane Imaginary cross-section that divides the body into upper and lower portions

Oral relating to the mouth
Parallel extending in the same
Perpendicular at right angles to a given plane
plane imaginary anatomical dividing lines useful for separating body structure
Quadrant one of four parts created by a medial sagittal plane and a transverse plane passing through the umnilicus at right angles
Region one of the m=nine areas of the abdomen created by four imaginary planes; used to locate organs more easily
