Congruent Figures Have the same Size and shape
Polygon A closed three or more sided figure.
Congruent Polygons Two or more polygons that have congruent, corresponding parts.
Third Angle Theorem If two angles of one triangle are congruent to two angles of another triangle then the third Angle is congruent.
Side-Side-Side Postulate /SSS If three sides of another triangle then the two triangles are congruent.
Side-Angle-Side Postulate/ SAS If two sides and the included Angle of one triangle are congruent to two sides and the included Angle of another triangle then two triangles are congruent.
Angle-Side-Angle Postulate/ ASA If two angles and the included side if one triangle are congruent to two angles and the included side if another triangle.
Angle-Angle-Side Postulate/AAS If two angles and a non included side of one triangle are congruent to two angles and the corresponding non included side of another triangle.
CPCTC Is an acronym for corresponding parts if congruent triangles are congruent. It means that once two triangles are proven to be congruent then the three parts of sides that corresponding must be congruent and the three pairs of angles that correspond
Isosceles Triangle theorem If two sides of a triangle are congruent then the angles opposite the sides are congruent.
Converse of Isosceles Triangle Theorem If two angles of a triangle are congruent then the sides opposite those angles are congruent.
Equilateral Triangle theorem If a triangle is equilateral then the triangle us equilateral.
Converse of the Equilateral Triangle Theorem If a triangle is equilateral then the triangle us equilateral
Isosceles Bisector Theorem If a line bisects the vertex angle of an isosceles triangle then the line is also the perpendicular bisector of the base
Hypotenuse Leg Theorem If the Hypotenuse and leg of a right triangle are congruent to the hypotenuse and leg of another right triangle then the two triangles are congruent.
Equilateral Triangle Has three equal sides and they are also 60 degrees.
Isosceles Triangle Its is a triangle that has at least two congruent sides
Isosceles Triangles It has at least two congruent sides
