communicative properties changing the order of numbers in addition or multiplication doesn't change the result
assocative property the sum or the product of three or more numbers does not change if they are grouped in a different way
identity property of multiplication a number equals itself when multiplied by 1
identity property of addition by adding 0 to any number, the result is the number itself.
Additive inverse property changing the sign of the number and adding it to the original number to get an answer equal to 0.
Multiplicative inverse property if we multiply a number with its reciprocal, the product is always equal to 1.
