QuestionAnswer
Open Syllable: A syllable ending in a vowel that typically makes a long sound (e.g., me, pro in program).
Closed Syllable: A syllable ending in a consonant that typically makes a short sound (e.g., cat, bas in basket).
Morpheme: The smallest unit of meaning in a language.
Suffix -er/-or: An affix added to the end of a word meaning "one who" (e.g., teacher, actor).
