Associative Property (x + 7) + 9 = x + (7 + 9) keep the number the same and move parrentheses
Associative Property 4(3 x 9) = (4 x 3)9 keep the numbers the same and then switch the parrenthessys
Commutative Property (x + 7) + 9 = 9 + (7 + x) flipping more numbers around
Commutative Property 5 x 6 = 6 x 5 flping the numbers around
Identity Property of Addition x + 0 = x add the number by o and get the same number you started with
Identity Property of Multiplication 6(1) = 6 you multiply the number by one and then get the same number
Multiplicative Inverse Property 4 x ¼ = 1 multiply the number and its inverse and it will give you 1
Additive Inverse Property -5 + 5 = 0 adding the number and its oppisite will givee you a sum of 0
Distributive Property 4(x + 3) = 4x + 12 sum of two or more addens multiplyed
Distributive Property 16 + 40 = 8(2 + 5) sum of two or more addens multiplyed
