Ecosytemes First Half

Autoroph A organism who makes their own food.
Heterotroph A organism that can't make it's own food.
Predator A animal that hunts and kills other animals for food.
Scavenger A type of consumer that feeds on dead plant and animal material
Prey A animal that is hunted and eaten by the pretator.
Ecosystem The living and nonliving elements of a area
Community A group of populations living and interacting with one another in a area.
Population A group of organisms of the same spices who live in the same area at the same time
Consumer A living thing that consumes (eates) other living things
Energy Pyramid A Diagram that shows how the amount of energy available changes at each step
Limiting factors Whatever reasorce is in shortest supply compared to the amount needed for growth
Biotic facters Living parts of a organism's habbitat
Abiotic facters Nonliving parts of a organism's habbitat
