What is criminal deviance Deviance that violates formally enacted laws. Example: Murder Assault Theft

Informal social control When parents praise their children for good behavior.
Serious deviance involves Formal social control criminal justice system Control by official systems like police, courts, or schools.
The biological context of deviance Implies that human behavior is rooted in biology or genetics
William sheldon A theorist who believed body type could be linked to criminal behavior.
Crime The violation of society formally enacted criminal law
Norms Norms are behaviors that a society consider normal.
Whatis the psychological explanation of deviance? Focuses on abnormality in the individual personality. There is a view that some personality is inherited or shaped by social experience.
According to Walter Reckless and Simon Dinitz’s  research; why did the Good Boys have fewer run-ins with law  than the “ Bad Boys?” The Good Boys had fewer run-ins with the law which indicates a strong conscience, while the Bad Boys had more run-ins with the law which indicates a weaker conscience.
