NATURE OF FORCES

| energy transfer | The process by which energy moves from one object to another |
| equal forces | Forces of the same strength acting on an object, causing no change in the object's motion |
| motion | The process or act of being moved or moving |
| unequal forces | Forces of different strengths acting on an object, causing a change in the object's motion |
| pattern | A predictable arrangement or repetition |
| force | A push or pull on an object; it causes objects to move, slow down, stop, or change direction. |
| magnetism | A force that attracts certain materials. |
| push-pull spring scale | A tool used to measure weight or force, such as the force of gravity. |
| trial | Tryouts or experiments to test quality value, or usefulness |
| mechanical energy | The energy that an object has because of its position and motion |
| mass | The amount of matter in an object. |
| sound energy | A form of energy that can be heard and is associated with vibrations of matter. |
| friction | A force caused by two objects rubbing against each other. |
| gravity | The force that attracts everything towards the center of Earth |
| collision | When two things bump into each other hard. |
