Angles

TermDefinition
Angle The space between two rays that is formed from intersecting lines, line segments, or planes
Adjacent Next to something else
Complementary Angles Two angles that can be combined to equal 90 degrees
Circle A two-dimensional figure that can represent 360 degrees
Measure To compare an amount to a known unit to determine the size or amount of something
Acute angle An angle less than 90 degrees
Right Angle An angle that measures 90 degrees
Ray A line with a start point but no endpoint
Degree A unit of measurement used to describe the size of an angle
Protractor An instrument used to draw or measure angles
Supplementary Angles Two angles that can be combined to equal 180 degrees
Obtuse Angle An angle larger that 90 degrees
