What was the Embargo Act of 1807? A law essentially banned all trade with all foreign countries
Who was Tecumseh? He warned other American Indians of the dangers they faced from the settlers
Who was Oliver Hazard Perry? Navy commander who broke British control of lake Erie
Who was Andrew Jackson? The commander of the Tennessee Militia.
What was the effect of the treaty of fort Jackson? ended the Creek War and forced the Creek to give up millions of acres of the land
What major effects did the Battle of New Orleans have? Made Andrew Jackson a war hero Was the last major conflict of the War of 1812
What happened at the Hartford Convention? Federalist agreed to oppose the war and send delegates to meet with Congress
What did the Treaty of Ghent do? ended the War of 1812
