TermDefinition
Lead Attention grabbing beginning
Theisis Drives the essay. Includes a topic, claim, and evidence.
Topic The subject of the essay. One or two words.
Claim The point to be argued or supported.
Evidence Word for word proof to support a claim.
Introduction The paragraph is often made of a lead, a link, and a thesis.
Body paragraph These paragraphs are often organized with RACE.
Transitions Connecting words
Conclusion This paragraph usually has a bookend, restrained thesis, and a so what.
