Candidate Noun Each candidate for school president gave a speech at the assembly. Someone who is applying for a job or running in an election.
Numerous Adjective The curious students asked numerous questions during the science lesson. Many; great in number.
Exact Adjective We need to know the exact measurements of the desk to be sure it will fit in my room. orrect; having no mistakes.
Command Verb The trainer at the wild animal park commanded the wolf to bring him a stick. To order someone to do something.
Hilarious Adjective The movie was so hilarious that we almost cried from laughing so hard. Very funny. Synonym: Hysterical
Devour Verb Zoo visitors like to gather at feeding time to watch the cheetahs devour their steak. To eat something very quickly or hungrily.
Unique Adjective A fish that could survive on dry land would be unique. Someone or something that is the only one of its kind.
Solo Noun You can tell that Anne had been practicing, because she performed her solo perfectly. A performance by one performer.
