| discrimination (civil) | treating a person unfairly or unequally because of characteristics such as race, religion, or ability . |
| false imprisonment (tort) | unlawful restraint of a person’s freedom of movement . |
| negligence / duty of care | failure to meet the standard of care owed to others, causing foreseeable harm . |
| nuisance (from your later pages) | substantial and unreasonable interference with someone’s use or enjoyment of property . |
| occupiers’ liability (later term) | responsibility of those in control of premises to ensure that visitors are reasonably safe . |
