Currency Coins and bills
Sales Tax An extra fee that the government requires consumers to pay on purchases.
Retail The sale of goods from a provider to a customer, in person, at a store.
Retail Purchase In-person purchase made at a store.
Electronic Purchase Online purchase made on a computer or mobile device.
Vending machine A piece of equipment that automatically dispenses goods to customers after payment has been inserted into the machine.
Vending Machine Purchase In-person, quick purchases of 1 or just a few items from a machine.
Fast-food Dining A restaurant that prepares and serves low-priced food very quickly in a very casual atmosphere with minimal table service.
Casual Dining A restaurant that serves moderately priced food in a casual atmosphere with table service.
Fine Dining A full service restaurant that prepares high quality food in a formal atmosphere.
Gratuity A sum of money that customers give to restaurant wait staff for their service. We normally just refer to the gratuity as the Tip.
