What is motion? Movement
What is speed? Speed is the distance travelled in a given time,it is measured in m/s or ms.
What is velocity? Velocity is speed in a given direction.
What is the calculations for speed? Speed= distance divided by time.
Calculations for distance? Distance=Speed x time.
Calculations for time?. Time= distance Speed
What is a distance time graph? Distance time graphs show the distance travelled from a certain point over time.
What is acceleration? Acceleration is the change in speed,measured in m/s 2 or ms-2
How do you calculate acceleration? Final speed- first speed divided by time taken= answer m/s 2 (squared) or ms-2
What are speed time graphs? Speed time graphs show the speed of an object changing over time.
Ina distance time graph,what do sloped lines represent? Sloped lines represents constant speed.
In a distance time graph,what do horizontal lines show? Horizontal lines show no movement.
In a speed time graph,what do sloped lines repersent? A sloped line represents a change in speed,this is acceleration.
In a speed time graph,what do horizontal lines show? A horizontal line shows constant speed,there is no acceleration.
