Climate Pattern of weather in a region over a long period of time
Blizzard Storm with strong winds & heavy snow
Weather description of the air at a certain time and place (changes day to day)
temperature Measure of how hot or cold something is
Precipitation water that falls to the Earth in the form of RAIN, SLEET, SNOW or HAIL
Equator Imaginary line that goes across the earth
Hurricane powerful storm with very strong winds and heavy rain
Environment things that surround us, such as land, water, air and trees
Natural Resource material found in nature that people can use; such as trees, water or soil
Mineral natural resource such as gold, coal, sand or salt that is found in the Earth and is not an animal or plant
Renewable Resource resource that can be replaced after it is used; such as a tree being replanted
Conservation careful use of natural resources to prevent their being destroyed or used up
Nonrenewable Resource resource that CANNOT be replaced after use; such as clay, stone, oil
Pollution something that makes air, water or soil dirty
Acid Rain type of rain caused when pollution mixes with moisture in the air and falls to the ground
Recycle to use something more than once
Wild Life animals and plants that live in the wild
Endangered animal that is in danger of dying out completely
