| What is the rail (part of a scenic flat)? | The top edge of the frame of a flat |
| What is a stile (part of a scenic flat)? | The vertical edge of the frame of a flat |
| What is Ohm's Law? | R = E / I Resistance (ohms) = Electro-motive Force (Volts) / I = Intensity of Current (amps) |
| What is a Series circuit? | A circuit where current runs in a series and voltage is divided evenly between the load. If one lamp in a Series circuit is out, the circuit will be broken and all the lamps will not work. Example = old christmas lights or strip lights |
| What is a parallel circuit? | A circuit where each load is connected to the same source independently. If one lamp in a parallel circuit blows, the other lamps are not affected. Example = house lights |
