| Prokaryotic | smallest, simplist cells that make up a single cell organism and lack a nucleous |
| Eukaryotic | cells containing specialized internal organellas |
| nucleous | the control center of the cell, holds the DNA |
| Mitochrondia | bean shaped organelle that releases energy from glucose molecules for the cell to use |
| cell membrane | barrier around the cell that controls what goes in and out of the cell. |
| Vacuole | large storage, organeele found in plants, stores water, food, and sometimes waste |
| chloroplast | organelle in plant cells that store chlorophyll where light energy in glucose during photosynthesis |
| organelle | membrane bound structures within the cell that have specific jobs |
| cell division | when a parent cells duplicates its contents and then divides into 2 new cells |
| cytoplasm | gel like substance that fills the cell |
| ribosomes | organelle that makes proteins for the cell |
