Lactic acid thought to be formed by the lactate and excess protons (H⫹) from anaerobic glucose catabolism
Sulfuric acid formed by oxidation of sulfur-containing amino acids
Phosphoric acid formed in the breakdown of phosphoproteins and ribonucleotides
pH <7.35 indicates acidosis
