Collision Damage Waiver An optional insurance policy that covers the cost of damages that may occur to a rental car during your trip
Connecting Flight Refers to a flight itinerary that involves multiple flights with layovers or stops at intermediate airports
Direct Flight Voyage in an aircraft that leaves the original airport and arrives at the destination airport without stopping at any intermediary airports
Economy Class The lowest travel class of seating in air travel, rail travel, and sometimes ferry or maritime travel
Excess Baggage Charge Fee charged by airlines if you check in more bags than your allowance permits
Federal Aviation Administration Responsible for, evaluating safety issues, and protecting public property and national security during spaceflight operations
First Class The most luxurious and expensive travel class, offering the best service and most comfortable accommodation
Motorcoach Large, comfortable vehicle designed for long-distance travel
Nonstop Flight A nonstop flight is a flight that goes from a departure airport to a destination with no intermediate landings or stopovers
One-Way Trip One-way trip refers to travel paid by a fare purchased for a trip on an aircraft, a train, a bus, or some other mode of travel without a return trip
Open-Jaw Trip An open-jaw trip in tourism refers to an itinerary where a passenger flies from one city to another, but returns to the original city from a different place
Overbook Refers to a revenue management strategy where more reservations are accepted than the actual capacity available
Round-Trip A journey to one or more places and back again.
Standby Air travel refers to booking a flight without a confirmed seat and relying on availability closer to departure
Tourist Destination A place that attracts tourists and visitors due to its unique features, attractions, and offerings.
Transportation Security Administration An agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security. Protect the nation's transportation systems while ensuring the freedom of movement for people and commerce.
