Who is Joshua? Leader of the Israelites after Moses died, who led them into promise land
Who are the Judges? After Joshua died, God sent these people, who were brave leaders to lead the Israelite army against their enemies to lead them back to God.
Who is Deborah? She led the army of 10,000 and gave council to the Israelites and led their army w/ Barak abasing the king Jabins army.
Who is Samson? Known for his super human strength, concecrated himself to God. He told his secret of strength and was captured. He got out with the help of God.
Who is Gideon? Let a small army vs the midianites and helped them to win.
What was is the Book of Joshua about? The book describes how the Israelites conquering the promise land and dividing the land among 12 tribes.
What is the Book of Judges about? It describes how the Israelites fell away from God and did what they thought was right. God would send Judges to bring them back to God.
Who did God choose to lead the Israleties to the Promise Land after Moses died? Joshua
The Israelites closed the Jordan River by carrying what before them? Ark of the Covenant

What did the people forget after Joshua died? People forgot the Lord and the great things he has done for them. they also worship false God and became like the people of the land.
What is the cycle that the Book of Judges describes (seven times) They cycle is called the cycle of sin.
When the people turned away from God and served the false gods of the land, God allowed their enemies to defeat them. Then the Israelites would weep and cry out to the Lord in their distress. How did God show His mercy to His people? He heard their cries, remembered his covenant and raised up the judges to help save them.
