Argument/Claim Terms
| Question | Answer |

| Ethos credibillity | Emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority. Examples: Celebrity endorsements, titles, profession, ETC. |
| Pathos emotion | Appeals to the audiences emotions. Examples: personal story, powerful image, or sad videos. |
| Logos reasoning | Appeals to the audiences logic or reason. Examples: Data, historical events, and facts. |
| Claim | The authors main point, a statement he or she believes to be true, must be arguable and provable |
| Credibility | The author is able to be believed and trusted. Look for the following: The authors credentials background.:Where the article was published. |
| Reliable Evidence | Information or data that is trustworthy, accurate, and consistent, and can be verified through reputable sources. |
| Rebuttal | When the author responds directly to the counterclaim |
| Argument | When the author wants to convince you of their position. |
| Counterclaim | The opposing viewpoints of the authors claim. |
