Argument, claim term

QuestionAnswer
What does Ethos mean? It emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority (Credibility)
What does Logos mean? Appeals to the audience's logic or reason. (Reasoning)
what does Pathos mean? Appeals to the audience's emotion.( Emotion)
what does Claim mean? The authors main point, a statement he or she believes To be tru,e must be arguable and prove able.
what does Credibility mean? The author is able to be believed and trusted.
What does Reliable Evidence mean? Information or data that is trustworthy, accurate, and consistent , and can be verrified through reputable sources.
Argument when the author wants to convince you of their position.
Counterclaim the opposite viewpoint of the authors claim.
Rebuttal When the author responds directly to the counterclaim.
