Argument / claim terms

QuestionAnswer
Ethos Emphasizes the speaker's credibility and authority. Examples: celebrity endorsements, titles, professions.
Logos Appeals to the audience logic and reason. Examples: data, historical events, fact and test results.
Pathos Appeals to the audience's emotions. Examples: Personal story's or sad videos.
Claim The author's main point, a statement he or she believes to be true, must be arguable and provable.
Credibility The author is able to be believed and trusted.
reliable sources Information or data that is trustworthy, accurate and consistent and can be verified through reputable sources.
