Argument and claim
| Term | Definition |

| Ethos | Emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority. |
| Pathos | Appeals to the audience's emotions. Ex: Personal Story, Powerful Image, or Sad Videos. |
| Logos | Appeals to the audiences logic or reason. |
| Claim | The authors main point, one that he/she believes to be true. |
| Credibility | The author is able to be believed or trusted. |
| Evidence | Information or data that is trustworthy, accurate, and consistent. |
| Argument | When the author wants to convince yo of their position. |
| Claim | The authors main point. |
| Rebuttal | When the author responds directly to the counterclaim. |
| Counterclaim | The opposite viewpoint of the authors claim. |
| Relevant Evidence | What the author uses to support their claim. |
| Credible | The author is able to be believed or trusted. |
