Argument/claim terms
| Question | Answer |

| Ethos | Emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority. |
| Pathos | Appeals to the audience's emotions. Ex: personal story, powerful image, or sad videos. |
| Logos | Appeals to the audience's logic or reason. Ex: data, historical events, facts, test results, |
| Claim | The author's main point, a statement he or she believes to be true, must be arguable and provable. |
| Credibility | The author is able to be believed and trusted. |
| Relevant evidence | What the author uses to support the claim. |
| counterclaim | The opposite view point of the authors claim. |
| Rebuttal | When the author responds directly to the counterclaim |
| Argument | When the author wants to convince your of their position |
