Argument/claim terms
| Term | Definition |

| Ethos | Emphasize the speakers credibility and authority. Examples titles, professions, celebrity endorsements, ect. |
| Pathos | Appeals to the audiences emotions. Examples personal story, powerful image, or sad videos. |
| Logos | Appeals to the audiences logic or reason. Examples data, historical events, facts, test results. ect. |
| Claim | the authors main point, a statement he or she believes to be true, must be arguable and proven |
| Argument | when the author wants to convince you of their position |
| Evidence | what the author uses to support their claim |
| counterclaim | the opposite viewpoint of the authors claim |
| Rebuttal | when the author responds directly to the counterclaim |
| credibility | the author is able to be believed and trusted |
