Argument/Claim Terms

QuestionAnswer
( credibility or ethical appeal) Emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority. Examples: celebrity endorsements, titles, professions, ect. Ethos
( Reasoning) appeals to the audience logic or reason. EX: Data, historical events, facts, test results, and personal experience. Logos
( emotion ) Appeals to the audience's emotion. EX: personal story, powerful image, or sad videos. Pathos
