algebretic terms

| associative property | the way in which numbers are grouped when added or multiplied does not change the answer |

| identify property of addition | the sum of an addend & 0 is the same as the addend |
| identify property of multiplication | the product of any factor & 1 is the same as the factor |
| additive inverse property | adding a number and its opposite will produce a sum of zero |
| multiplicative inverse property | multiplying any number and its inverse equals one |
