ARGUMENT/CLAIM TERMS

ARGUMENT when the author wants to convience you of their position
CLAIM the authors main point
EVIDENCE what the author uses to support their claim
COUNTERCLAIM the opposite viewpoint of the authors claim
REBUTTAL when the authors responds diractley to the COUNTERCLAIM
CREDIBILITY the authors is able to be beloved and trusted
ETHOS emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority
PATHOS appeals to the audiences emotions
LOGOS appeals to the audiences logic or reason.
