argument/claim terms

TermDefinition
ethos emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority.
logos appeals to the audience logic or reason.
pathos appeals to the audiences emotions.
claim the authors main point.
credibility the authors is able to be beloved and trusted.
reliable evidence information or data that is trustworthy accurrate and consistent and can be verified through reputable sources.
argument when the author wants to convince you on their position
claims the authors main point
evidence what the author uses to support the claim
counter claim the opposite viewpoint of the authors claim
rebuttal when the author responds to the counter claim
credibilaty the author is able to be beloved and trusted.
