Order of Operations

Constant a term without a variable; numbers 7a+4,9 multiplied -2,8+y
Coefficient the number part of a term with variables 7a+4,9 multiplied -2,8+1y
Term a single number or variable, or numbers and variables multiplied together They are usually separated by addition and subtraction signs.
Like Terms two or more terms with the same variable or exponent 7 multiplied + 8 multiplied + 10
Sum the answer to an addition problem
Difference the answer to a subtraction problem
Product the answer to a multiplication problem
Quotient the answer to a division problem
