Argument/claim terms
| Question | Answer |

| Ethos | Emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority. Examples are celebrity endorsements, titles, professions, etc |
| Logos | Appeals to the audience's logic or reason. Examples are Data, Historical events, Facts, Test results, and Personal Experience. |
| Pathos | To persuade an audience by purposely evoking certain emotions to make them feel the way the author wants them to fee |
| Claim | The authors main point |
| Credibility | The author is able to be believed and trusted |
| Argument | When the author wants to convince you of their position |
| Evidence | What the author uses to support their claim |
| Counterclaim | The opposite viewpoint of the authors claim |
| Rebuttal | When the author responds directly to the counterclaim |
