| Commutative Property | The order in which numbers are added or multiplied does not change the answer. |
| Identity Property of addition | The sum of an addend & 0 is the same as the addend |
| identity property of multiplicative | The product of any factor & 1 is the same as the factor. |
| Additive inverse property | Adding a number and it's opposite will produce a sum of zero. |
| multiplicative inverse property | Multiplying any number and it's inverse (reciprocal) equals one. |
| Associative Property | (x + 7) + 9 = x + (7 + 9) |
| Associative Property | 4(3x9) = (4x3)9 |
| Communicative Property | (x + 7) + 9 = 9 + (7 + x) |
| Communicative Property | 5 x 6 = 6 x 5 |
| Identity Property of Addition | x + 0 = x |
| Identity of Multiplication | 6(1) = 6 |
| Multiplicative Inverse Property | 4 x 1/4 = 1 |
