| Identity property of multiplication | The product of any factor & 1 is the same as the factor |
| Identity property of multiplication | 6(1) = 6 |
| Additive Inverse property | Adding a number and its opposite will produce a sum of zero. |
| Additive Inverse property | -5 + 5 = 0 |
| multiplicative inverse property | Multiplying any number by its inverse( reciprocal) equals one |
| multiplicative inverse property | 4 x 1/4 = 1 |
| Distributive property | 4(x+3) = 4 x + 12 |
| Distributive property | 16 + 40 = 8(2+5) |
