| Ethos | Emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority.Celebs, titles, professions, etc |
| Pathos | appeals to peoples emotions, personal stories, powerful image or words, etc |
| Logos | appeals to the audience's logic or reason. Data, events, facts, studies, results, and personal experience |
| Claim | The authors main point and what they are trying to get across to the reader. |
| Credible | The author is able to be believed and trusted |
| Evidence | information or data that is trustworthy accurate, and consistent. Facts, Statistics, and Quotes/ expert opinions. |
| Argument | when the author wants to convince you of their opinion |
| Counterclaim | the opposing viewpoints of the authors claim |
| Rebuttal | when the author responds directly to the counterclaim |
