"Argument/Claim term
| Term | Definition |

| Ethos | Emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority. |
| Logos | Appeals to the audience's logic or reason. |
| Pathos | Appeals to the audience's emotions. |
| Claim | The authors main point, a statement he or she believes to be true, must be arguable and provable. |
| Credibility | The Author Is able to be believed and trusted. |
| Reliable Evidence | Information or data that is trustworthy, accurate, and consistent, and can be verified through reputable sources. |
| Rebuttal | When the author responds directly to the counter claim. |
| Counterclaim | The opposing view point of the authors view point. |
| Evidence | What the author uses to support their claim. |
| Argument | When the author wants to convince you of their position. |
