"Argument/Claim term

TermDefinition
Ethos Emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority.
Logos Appeals to the audience's logic or reason.
Pathos Appeals to the audience's emotions.
Claim The authors main point, a statement he or she believes to be true, must be arguable and provable.
Credibility The Author Is able to be believed and trusted.
Reliable Evidence Information or data that is trustworthy, accurate, and consistent, and can be verified through reputable sources.
Rebuttal When the author responds directly to the counter claim.
Counterclaim The opposing view point of the authors view point.
Evidence What the author uses to support their claim.
Argument When the author wants to convince you of their position.
