A procedure to surgically implant a healthy kidney from a donor in a patient whose kidneys do not function properly. kidney transplant
A form of kidney dialysis in which a solution is instilled in the abdomen through a catheter and the lining of the peritoneum filters the blood. peritoneal dialysis
Examination of the ureter or kidney using a ureteroscope, or a thin tube with a light and video camera, inserted through the urethra and advanced toward the kidney; may also be used in the process of removing kidney stones. ureteroscopy
