| 1st Amendment | Freedom of speech, assembly, religion, petition |
| 2nd Amendment | Right to bear arms. |
| 4th Amendment | Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures |
| 5th Amendment | Right to a lawyer, right to remain silent (self incrimination) |
| 6th Amendment | Right to a fair and speedy trial by jury; right to a public trial, right to be told your accusations, |
| 8th Amendment | No excessive bail or punishment |
| 9th Amendment | Protects rights that are not specifically listed in the constitution |
| 10th Amendment | Limits federal government laws, gives states power |
| 14th Amendment | Equal protection and due process |
| 15th Amendment | Prohibits federal and state governments from denying citizens the right to vote based on race, color, or previous condition of servitude |
| 17th Amendment | 2 senators for each state through elections by the people. |
| 19th Amendment | Gave women the right to vote |
| 22nd Amendment | President can only serve two terms |
| 24th Amendment | No more poll taxes |
| 26th Amendment | Guarantees people the right to vote 18 and older |
