1st Amendment Freedom of speech, assembly, religion, petition
2nd Amendment Right to bear arms.
4th Amendment Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures
5th Amendment Right to a lawyer, right to remain silent (self incrimination)
6th Amendment Right to a fair and speedy trial by jury; right to a public trial, right to be told your accusations,
8th Amendment No excessive bail or punishment
9th Amendment Protects rights that are not specifically listed in the constitution
10th Amendment Limits federal government laws, gives states power
14th Amendment Equal protection and due process
15th Amendment Prohibits federal and state governments from denying citizens the right to vote based on race, color, or previous condition of servitude
17th Amendment 2 senators for each state through elections by the people.
19th Amendment Gave women the right to vote
22nd Amendment President can only serve two terms
24th Amendment No more poll taxes
26th Amendment Guarantees people the right to vote 18 and older
