How hearing works Sound waves enter the outer ear, vibrate the eardrum, are amplified by the ossicles, and travel into the cochlea, where they're converted to electrical signals sent to the brain via the auditory nerve, allowing us to hear.
Major endocrine glands -Hypothalamus & pituitary Brain glands, pituitary is "the master gland" controlling others
Major endocrine glands -Pinneal In the brain, produces melanin to sleep
Major endocrine glands -Thyroid & parathyroids in the neck, regulate metabolism and calcium
Major endocrine glands -Adrenals on kidneys, produce stress hormone (cortisol, adrenaline)
Major endocrine glands -Pancreas behind stomach, makes insulin/ glucagon for blood sugar (also exocrine)
Major endocrine glands -Ovaries(females), testes (males) gonads produce sex hormones
Major endocrine glands -Thymus in the chest, crucial for immune system development
