| Cerebrum | The largest part of the brain; responsible for thinking, memory, emotions, and voluntary actions. |
| Cerebellum | Controls balance, posture, and muscle coordination. |
| Brain stem | Connects the brain to the spinal cord and controls basic life functions. |
| Pons | Helps regulate breathing and relays messages between brain regions. |
| Medulla oblongata | Controls vital functions such as breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure. |
| Parietal lobe | Processes touch, temperature, pain, and spatial awareness. |
| Occipital lobe | Responsible for vision. |
| Frontal lobe | Controls reasoning, decision-making, emotions, and voluntary movement. |
| Temporal lobe | Processes hearing, language, and memory. |
| Motor cortex | Controls voluntary muscle movements. |
| Sensory cortex | Receives and interprets sensory information from the body. |
| Corpus callosum | Connects the left and right hemispheres of the brain. |
| Pituitary gland | Releases hormones that regulate growth and other glands. |
| Thalamus | Relays sensory information to the cerebral cortex. |
| Hypothalamus | Regulates hunger, thirst, body temperature, and emotions. |
| Hippocampus | Involved in forming and storing long-term memories. |
