1st Amendment Freedom of religion, speech, assembly, press and right to petition
2nd Amendment Right to keep/bear arms
3rd Amendment Prohibits harboring of soldiers in private homes w/o consent of homeowner.
4th Amendment Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures
5th Amendment Right to due process, grand jury, against double jeopardy and right against self incrimination
6th Amendment Rights for criminal defendants (speedy trial, an impartial jury, and legal counsel).
7th Amendment Right to jury trial
8th Amendments Prohibits cruel and unusual punishment, excessive bail and fines
9th Amendment Addresses and gives rights that are not explicitly expressed in the Constitution
10th Amendment Allows for the states to maintain the powers not claimed by the federal government.
