| 1st Amendment | Freedom of religion, speech, assembly, press and right to petition |
| 2nd Amendment | Right to keep/bear arms |
| 3rd Amendment | Prohibits harboring of soldiers in private homes w/o consent of homeowner. |
| 4th Amendment | Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures |
| 5th Amendment | Right to due process, grand jury, against double jeopardy and right against self incrimination |
| 6th Amendment | Rights for criminal defendants (speedy trial, an impartial jury, and legal counsel). |
| 7th Amendment | Right to jury trial |
| 8th Amendments | Prohibits cruel and unusual punishment, excessive bail and fines |
| 9th Amendment | Addresses and gives rights that are not explicitly expressed in the Constitution |
| 10th Amendment | Allows for the states to maintain the powers not claimed by the federal government. |
