TermDefinition
Plantation A large farm specializing in cash crops.
Indentured Servant A person contracted to work for 5-7 years in return for their journey to the colonies.
Slave A person who is taken against their will and forced to a lifetime of servitude.
Town Common The center of a New England village.
Apprentice A person who learns a skill or trade from a professional in that area.
Import Goods brought in from other locations.
Export Goods that are sent to other locations to sell or trade.
Agriculture The business of farming and/or raising livestock.
Colonial Assemblies Colonists elected, to speak on behalf of the people, to make laws for the colonies.
