Plantation a large farm specializing in cash crops
Indentured Servant a person contracted to work for 5-7 years I return for a journey to the colonies
Slave a person who is taken against their will and forced to a lifetime of servitude
Town Common the center of a New England village
Apprentice a person who learns a skill or trade from a professional in that area
Import goods brought in from other locations
Export goods that are sent to other locations to sell or trade
Agriculture the business of farming and /or raising livestock
Colonial Assemblies colonists elected, to speck on behalf of the people ,to make laws for the colony
Royal Governor a leader appointed by the king to enforce british rule in the colonies
Surplus an extra supply of goods
Merchant a person who buys and sells goods; a traveling trader
Natural Resources things found in nature that are beneficial to people
Colony a territory settled by people from another country and controlled by that country
