What is the function of suprspinatus? Abduction of shoulder until 15 degrees and stabilising shoulder
What innervates supraspinatus? Subscapular nerve
What is the origin of infraspinatus? Infraspinous fossa
What is the insertion of infraspinatus? Greater tubercle of humerus
What is the function of infraspinatus? External rotation of shoulder and stabilisation of shoulder
What innervates infraspinatus? Subscapular nerve
What is the origin of teres minor? Lateral border of scapula
What is the insertion of teres minor? Greater tubercle of humerus
What is the function of teres minor? Arm adduction and external rotation of arm and stabilisation of shoulder joint
What innervates teres minor? Axillary nerve
What is the origin of subscapularis? Subscapular fossa
What is the insertion of subscapularis? Lesser tubercle of humerus
What is the action of subscapularis? Internal rotation of arm and stabilisation of shoulder joint
What innervates subscapularis? Upper and lower subscapular nerves
What is the glenoid labrum? Fibrocartilaginous ring around glenoid fossa
What muscles protract the scapula? Pec minor and serratus anterior
Which muscles retract the scapula? Rhomboids, Middle trap and latissimus dorsi
What muscles flex the shoulder? Front delt, Clavicular head of pec major, Some coracobrachialis and biceps
What muscles extend the shoulder? Latissimus dorsi, rear delt, some teres major and triceps
What muscles adduct the shoulder? Sternal head of pec major, latissimus dorsi and teres major
What muscles abduct the shoulder? Supraspinatus at 15 degrees and middle delt beyond that
What muscles medially rotate the shoulder? Subscapularis, teres major and pec major
What muscles laterally rotate the shoulder? Infraspinatus, teres minor and rear delt
