TermDefinition
Aqueous solution Homogeneous mixture that contains one or more solutes dissolved in the solvent
Solute Substance dissolved in a solvent.
Solvent Most plentiful substance in a solution.
Complete ionic equation Ionic equation that shows all particles in a solution as they exist.
Spectator ion Ion that does not participate in a chemical reaction.
Net ionic equation Ionic equation that includes only the particles that participate in the reaction.
